Have you ever seen a river flow,
The soft curves of the waves
that kiss the flowers on the banks
and glisten in the moonlight.
I have.
It flows into my arms.

To my lips,
with waters so fresh and sweet
a drop springs life anew within me.
Dribbled drops run down my shape
To line it with a tenderness,
A cleanse that doesn’t wash
but wipes away my thoughts.

To swim evermore
In the waters of that river.
That is my desire.
